Australia/Indonesia trip cancelled by Obama
Baltimore News.Net Thursday 18th March, 2010
US President Barack Obama has cancelled forthcoming trips to Indonesia and Australia so he can stay home to oversee controversial healthcare legislation.
While it is rare for a US president to cancel an organised visit, the healthcare reform bill is foremost in the mind of the president.
The Senate has passed the bill and the House of Representatives is due to vote on legislation on Sunday.
Once the bill passes the House, it will become law once President Obama signs it.
The healthcare reforms, which have been extremely controversial, have taken months to design, with wrangling going on behind the closed doors of the Washington political system.
With a deal now designed to be acceptable to most US legislators, approximately 32 million Americans who do not have health insurance may soon receive it.
The legislation will expand insurance coverage at a cost of $940 billion over the coming ten years.
It will cut the US deficit by $138 billion over the same period through new fees and cost-cutting measures. Email this story to a friend

Obama decides not to go down under
I have never seen the government do anything within the budget specified. This mimics medicare that ended up costing 10 times what they said and a lot of doctors won’t honor medicare patients because they say they can’t get their money.

What a country!
Pupports to lead the world.
It has 32 million people (loyal American citizens) - without health insurance.
It bends all rules to keep greedy banks afloat- but it cannot help those whose only crime is to have health problems.
Perhaps the medical industry is far too comfortable with existing high incomes to care. Shame on someone!

Why not export the patients to Cuba
Medical care in Cuba is first class and is free.

Republicans & American Tea Party: SAY NO to Obama's Socialism.
Republican US Congress & Senate + the American Tea Party: When your kid has a flu and fever, you don’t ask your next door to take care your bill. That’s what Grandma Speaker Nancy Pelosi to force American people to live with Obama’s Socialism whether you like it or not, you have to live with it. Once you are at age 65+, the senior citizens will feel the pain of Obama’s health bill. This kind of Democrat’s closed door legislation processed inside a black box without transparence only will get backfired on 2010 General Election.
