Mina Kimes Calls Rashod Bateman Extension 'Really Smart'

ESPN's Mina Kimes loved the Rashod Bateman extension.

After the Ravens wide receiver signed a reported three-year extension worth $36.75 million, with $20 million guaranteed, Kimes praised the deal.

"I think this is a really smart, really team-friendly deal, honestly," Kimes said on NFL Live. "While Rashod Bateman got off to a slow start at the beginning of his career, largely due to health reasons, last year he really emerged as an important role player. And that role is the sting.

"Zay Flowers is the No. 1 receiver in this offense, but he is not a traditional X-receiver. That's Bateman. He brings an element to this Ravens offense they're not getting anywhere else and compliments the other skill players quite well."

Bateman is coming off the best year of his young career, reaching career highs in receiving yards (756) and touchdown catches (nine) last season.

What's the Ravens' Biggest Question Mark as the End of OTAs Near?

With how well-rounded and complete the Ravens' roster is, it's difficult to pinpoint any gaping holes. Nonetheless, Bleacher Report's Matt Holderrecently broke down the biggest question markfor each NFL team. He determined that the Ravens' is at guard.

Andrew Vorhees and Ben Cleveland have been taking snaps at left guard throughout OTAs the past two weeks. Daniel Faalele returns at right guard.

"Left guard is a bigger question mark in Baltimore since Daniel Faalele returns on the right side and started to put it together toward the end of last season," Holder wrote. "However, the 25-year-old wasn't spectacular and still has something to prove during training camp.

"Regardless, the other guard spot will have a significant position battle between Ben Cleveland and several players who don't have much NFL experience."

Adam Sandler Adds a Dinner to Movie Role Bet with Derrick Henry

After Dan Patrickmade a bet with Derrick Henrylast week, saying that he would get Henry in an Adam Sandler movie if he reached 2,000 rushing yards, Patrick immediately reached out to Sandler.

The Hollywood superstar had no problem signing off on the deal in a video shared with Henry last week.

"Yo, Derrick, I just woke up, you know that. That's why I look disgusting, on top of the fact that I am disgusting," Sander said in the video. "But I love ya. Congrats on everything, baby. Two thousand yards-plus this year gets you not only in the movie, but we'll have a nice dinner together."

Henry, whose favorite actor is Sandler, smiled ear to ear watching Sandler's message.

"That's my dawg, baby," Henry said. "That's cool as hell."

Henry was 79 yards short of the 2,000-yard mark last season. He has hit the milestone once in his career when he ran for 2,027 yards with the Titans in 2020.
