The Cleveland Browns are planning to release the only quarterback in camp that had been voted to a Pro Bowl.

ESPN reported Sunday that the Browns are releasing Tyler Huntley, who was a longshot to make the 53-man roster on Tuesday. The five-year veteran came to camp last month in the wake of an injury to Kenny Pickett.

In addition to Pickett, rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are expected to make the initial Cleveland roster. Joe Flacco, 40, was named the Browns' starter earlier this week by head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Huntley played four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, getting into 20 games as a backup to Lamar Jackson. He was voted to the 2022 Pro Bowl as a replacement for Buffalo's Josh Allen.

He spent 2024 with the Miami Dolphins and went 2-3 as a starter.
