Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell suffered a knee injury in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mitchell was ruled out at the start of the fourth quarter, after ripping off a 55-yard run in the third quarter. Head Coach John Harbaugh said after the game that the team will know more about Mitchell's status Monday.
"We'll evaluate it tomorrow. We'll know more tomorrow," Harbaugh said. "That's one that that [we're] going to have to take some looks at tomorrow."
Mitchell indicated that it's not a serious injury Sunday night, and posted a positive update on Monday afternoon.
Mitchell was having his best game of the season before going down. He had six carries for 76 yards on the day. Mitchell hit a top speed of 20.39 mph on his long run, but lost speed at the end.
Mitchell was starting to become a bigger part of Baltimore's offense. His six carries were tied for a season high.
With Mitchell sidelined, the Ravens turned to Rasheen Ali behind Derrick Henry. They also seemed to put more running on Lamar Jackson's plate.
Mitchell suffered a major knee injury during his rookie season, which also cost him nearly all of his sophomore year. He returned this season and entered the game averaging 6.1 yards per carry.
